The Japanese Association of Political Science and Sociology
Despite their obvious inter-relations, political science, sociology and media and communications studies have their own separate academic associations. In an attempt to bridge this gap, this Association was established by scholars engaged in a wide area of research encompassing International Politics, Japanese Politics, Comparative Politics, Political Philosophy, Political Sociology and Media and Communication Studies. The Association seeks to encourage academic research addressing the issues of civil society, political identity and public opinion, in close liaison with the Center for the Study of Civil Society with Comparative Perspective.
