- The JES II data (hereinafter called the data) and the Codebook are the result of the JES II Research Project (Participants: Ichiro Miyake, Kobe University; Joji Watanuki, Soka University; Ikuo Kabashima, University of Tokyo; Yoshiaki Kobayashi, Keio University; and Ken’ichi Ikeda, University of Tokyo), a part of “The Nationwide Chronological Studies on Voting Behaviors in the Early 21st Century” supported by “Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research 1993-1997” from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology.
- The data contained in this data archive are limited to academic use only. All users of the data are reminded to credit the source as specified in item 1.
- This data set is a revised version of the original JES II Data and thus employs a different codebook (JES II Cleaned Version I Codebook developed by Yoshiaki Kobayashi) from that used in the original version (JES II Codebook by Bokutakusha).
- The Data and the Codebook are freely accessible to all, but their copyright belongs to the JES II Research Project. No copying or distribution of the material is permitted without the consent of the copyright holder.
